OUR STORY
Wild Monkey Bar was born in the wilds of Rocky Mountain National Park after a climbing trip. We realized the snacks we packed never hit the way we needed them to. They were either bland, ultra-processed, or left us crashing soon after. That moment sparked something bigger.
We didn’t just want a bar that kept us going—we wanted one we couldn’t wait to eat, made with real ingredients and that actually kept us full longer.
Back in Boulder, we got to work. We set out to reimagine the nostalgic candy bar—something that hit all the textures (crunchy, creamy, salty, sweet), tasted amazing, and was made with nutrient-dense, feel-good ingredients. Because we believe candy should taste great and make you feel great too.
That’s how Wild Monkey Bar was born—a bar that fuels your day and makes you feel good about what you’re eating.
But this is about more than just a snack.
Our mission is to inspire people to get outside, move their bodies, eat food that feels and tastes great, and take small steps toward becoming the best version of themselves. We believe real happiness comes from balance—in health, movement, relationships, and mindset.
After welcoming our baby girl Indy, that mission became even more meaningful. We’re building something for the next generation—a future where snacks are clean, craveable, and crafted with intention.
We still hand-make every bar right here in Boulder, Colorado. John pipes the cream by hand—yes, every single one. We always say, “Good things take time,” and we’re not cutting corners.
